Message from the CEO and Owner of Junipurr Jewelry
Doing things the right way is one of our most important values at Junipurr Jewelry. We work hard every day to make high quality gold body jewelry accessible to safe and professional piercers. We hope this enhances the lives of piercers in our community, our country, and all over the world.
To be clear about what we mean when we talk about doing things right; not only does that mean that we provide products that are beautifully made, fairly priced and of exceptional quality, but it also means that every step we take in making those products is taken with ethics and integrity in mind. We source material only from suppliers who have proven positive human rights records, we ensure our supply chain is of the highest integrity and robustly monitor our entire operation for compliance with our code of conduct.
Doing things right is not optional at Junipurr Jewelry. Working with us means making a commitment to upholding our company's values and following the code of conduct outlined in this document. This code of conduct is applicable to all shareholders, employees, contractors, Pro Team Members, suppliers and customers.
Ethical Principles and Core Values
Below is Junipurr’s core beliefs and values.
1. Piercers aren't just our clients, they are our compass
So often people look at clients as just that - clients. We make stuff, they buy stuff. But there has to be a real effort on our part to improve the quality of life for a piercer. What does that mean? We're talking about every facet of the craft. The business of selling gold isn't only about the product, it is about accessibility, pricing, assisted marketing, better tools, helping them with their pain points, supporting each other, growing together, and the main thing is, we must worry about a piercer's business as much as we worry about our own. We think this will always be our best compass.
2. Treat our people like Gold 🖤
Gold isn't rare. Good people are. At the end of the day, we are all humans in this very crazy competitive world. If someone can dedicate 8 hours a day to help your cause, then it's only fair that you think about their cause and make sure they are taken care of.
3. Don't take shortcuts, do things the right way, do things ethically
Doing things the right way takes longer. It's also generally a lot harder and more expensive. But doing things the right way will ensure that:
A. We can have a long sustainable business.
B. We can protect ourselves from future competitors because we're setting a higher bar, and…
C. You want to be able to look in the mirror and be able to enjoy the fruits of our labour.
4. Be hungry to learn
We must stay hungry to learn. The day we stop learning is probably the beginning of the end for us, and we've worked too hard to let that happen.
5. Don't just make money, make an impact
We started developing body jewelry because we couldn't get enough jewelry to keep our own piercing business viable. We're not going to forget that. Now that we have jewelry for ourselves, we want to make sure other piercers are going to be able to pay their bills and prosper too. In our opinion, there simply isn't enough choices for gold jewelry companies to sustain all the good piercers out there. So many want to use good jewelry but the wait times and supply chains have to be available. We want to be part of the solution to help make an impact and move the industry forward.
Decision Making and the Code of Conduct
When making a decision, ask yourself the following:
- Is it legal?
- Does it comply with Junipurr’s code of conduct?
- Does it reflect our company values and ethics?
- Does it respect the rights of others?
- If you are unsure about any of the answers, ask.
Reporting/ Speaking Up
Junipurr Jewelry encourages all shareholders, employees, contractors, Pro Team Members, suppliers and customers to ask questions and raise issues without fear or retaliation. Junipurr Jewelry is committed to treating reports seriously and will do its utmost, where possible to investigate them thoroughly. Shareholders, employees, contractors, Pro Team Members, suppliers and customers must report any suspected unethical, illegal or suspicious first hand behaviour immediately. Junipurr does not tolerate retaliation against anyone who makes a good faith report of suspected misconduct or otherwise assists with an investigation or audit.

Junipurr is committed to a diverse workforce. Junipurr will not tolerate discrimnation on any grounds such as race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, disability etc.
Junipurr has a zero tolerance policy for any form of harassment, including sexual harassment and bullying.
We expect everyone to treat all fellow employees, customers, business partners and other stakeholders with dignity and respect at all times. Any type of harassment, including physical, sexual, verbal or other, is prohibited and can result in disciplinary action up to, and including termination. Harassment can include action, languages, written words, or objects that create an intimidating or hostile work environment, such as: yelling at or humiliating someone, physical violence or intimidation, unwanted sexual advances, invitations or comments, visual displays such as derogatory or sexually-oriented pictures or gestures, physical conduct including assault or unwanted touching, threats or demands to submit to sexual requests as a condition of employment or to avoid negative consequences.
We are committed to ensuring that our employees, our contractors and our customers work in a safe and respectful environment that is free of bullying. Bullying can include: spreading malicious rumor or gossip, excluding or isolating someone socially, withholding necessary information or purposefully giving the wrong information, intimidating someone, sending offensive jokes or emails, criticizing or belittling someone constantly etc.
Conflicts of Interest
A conflict of interest can occur when a team member’s personal activities, investments or associations compromises their judgment or ability to act in the company’s best interests. Employees should avoid the types of situations that can give rise to conflicts of interest.
External Communication on Behalf of the Company
Only the CEO and shareholders are authorized to represent Junipurr to media/ and or legal authorities. Employees and clients should refer all requests for information or interviews to Jennifer Mo.
Junipurr Jewelry and its employees maintain the confidentiality of all proprietary information. Proprietary information includes all non-public information that might be harmful to the company and its customers and business partners if disclosed. Confidential information can include customer lists, supplier lists, pricing information, terms of contracts, company policies and procedures, financial statements, marketing plans and strategies, trade secrets and any other information that could damage the company or its customers or suppliers if it was disclosed.
Health & Safety
Junipurr Jewelry conducts business in accordance with applicable health and safety requirements and strives for continuous improvement in its health and safety policies and procedures. All employees are expected to perform their work in compliance with applicable health and safety laws, regulations, policies and procedures and apply safe work practices at all times in all locations.
Junipurr Jewelry is committed to operating in an environmentally responsible manner, from the provision of products and services, to the operation of its offices and facilities, selection of suppliers and sourcing materials and other business activities. Junipurr complies with all applicable environmental laws and regulations as well as self-directed commitments to sustainable practices and environmental protection.
Use of Social Media
Junipurr Jewelry respects the right of its employees, Pro Team members, suppliers and clients to use social media for personal and professional purposes. Employees, Pro Team members, suppliers and clients are accountable for any information they publish online.
Employees, Pro Team Members, Suppliers and Clients are required to:
- Ensure any information they post related to the company is accurate
Employees, Pro Team Members, Suppliers and Clients must not:
- Speak on behalf of the company if they are not expressly authorized to do so
- Share confidential information about the company, its clients, stakeholders or suppliers
- Post comments or pictures that could harm the company’s brand, reputation or commercial interests
Corporate Social Responsibility
Junipurr Jewelry understands that corporate social responsibility extends to our entire supply chain. This encompasses not only the products and services supplied but also the human rights, ethics, and social practices of our company and its suppliers. Forced Labor: Junipurr Jewelry and its suppliers shall employ all employees under their own free will with no one being subjected to bonded or forced labor. This policy applies to not only the supplier’s business operations but also those of their supplier network with which the company conducts its business.
Child Labor: Junipurr Jewlery and its suppliers does not support child labor.
Responsible Environmental Impact: Junipurr Jewelry and its suppliers shall produce measurable environmental impact reports and conduct ongoing efforts to reduce environmental pollution while increasing sustainability.
Code of Conduct Acknowledgement
Employees, contractors, Pro Team members and suppliers are expected to sign and comply with Junipurr’s code of conduct as part of Onboarding.
For Clients, by applying and/ or activating a Junipurr Jewelry account, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to abide by the entire code of conduct and understand your responsibilities related to it. You agree to report to Junipurr any violations of the code and cooperate in any investigations of violations of the code.
