Complication

We have been made aware of a very small quantity of labrets in the wild where the hole in them won't fit some threadless brands of jewelry such as Neometal, IS and Anatometal. They are unlikely to work on our pins too.

Event

The issue effects 16g (1.2mm) threadless labrets with an 8mm length and 4mm base. The issue in simple terms is the hole in the labret is a 0 and not an O shape.

It's virtually impossible to see the difference by eye and the best way to check it is try a threadless pin in your posts. We became aware of this fault during our QC a number of months ago during manufacturing, it was caused by a faulty piece of equipment.

Fix

The entire batch that was affected was removed from circulation immediately at source and before being distributed but it seems a very small quantity could be out there.

Resolution Options

If you have any of these pieces, please reach out to us at info@junipurrjewelry.com for an instant free replacement or store credit on your account.   We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Complication

Compatibility issues between Junipurr's threadless pins and different manufacturers' jewelry e.g. labrets.

Event

We have received a small number of returns due to pins being too long or too thick for some brands of jewelry.

This issue seems to be isolated to some IS pieces and a newer brand called Divinity.

We have completed a full investigation into this and it seems the issue is isolated to a small batch of jewelry made in November 2020.

Fix

We have modified our pin design to increase compatibility across the many brands studios use globally, this small but important change will apply to every new piece of jewelry from April 2021.

While complete compatibility will unlikely ever be possible, this should allow for full compatibility of every major brand.

For all existing stock held, we are investing a huge amount of time in checking each piece with the latest versions of multiple post brands before shipping to studios to ensure these compatibility issues are minimized going forward.

Resolution Options

Preferred: Submit a return for a full store credit or free of charge alteration where possible.

If you have a compatibility issue with a brand other than the brands previously mentioned, please include a brand new sterile post and the name of brand you are having problems with for us to analyze.

You could: Try another manufacturer such as NeoMetal, Anatometal etc

Feeling brave: Virtually all these issues can be resolved in house by trimming approximately 0.5 millimetres from the pin and filing the edges to remove any sharp points post cut. This is best done with sharp pliers.

If you want to try this and break a pin, don't worry, we will cover it, just send it in with the rest of your affected stock following the Preferred option above.
