My name is Aleksandra Žitko and I go by Alex. I was born on 18th of october 1985 in Split, Croatia. My parents were accountants and I have three sisters. In primary school I showed affinity for mathemathics, physics and chemistry so I decided to go to Medical high school. In 2004 I finished highschool as a Medical laboratory technician. I decided to further my education and moved to Ljubljana, Slovenia and enroled in University of Ljubljana to study Biochemistry. During my studies I started rewarding my achievements by getting pierced. The first experience of getting pierced was great, I was fascinated with the level of skill and knowledge required to provide such a service. I fell in love with the beauty and science of the industry and took a student job in a piercing studio. Soon they offered me an apprenticeship and I gladly accepted. In 2010 I started actively piercing and decided to stop my studies since I found my calling in being a professional body piercer. I furthered my education and skill by regularly attending workshops and classes offered by other industry professionals as well as going to conferences such as APP conference in Italy, BMXnet in Germany and the UKAPP conference in the UK. On 31th of august in 2015 I opened my own piercing studio IBUA in Ljubljana, with a vision to offer the best quality body piercing services and jewelry. Five years later my studio is well renowned as a professional and friendly place to get pierced as well as buy beautiful, quality jewelry. I am looking forward to the future, to see my studio grow with other piercers joining the team and continuing our mission for a professional, compassionate, friendly and safe place for body piercing needs.
